We think everyone needs comfort-food time. Bring your loved ones to Country Fare–a family restaurant where each one has a place at the table. Come hungry, leave happy!
We will meet our guests’ expectations by recognizing and fulfilling their needs and by going the extra mile to make their experience with us an exceptional one.
Serving the community has long been a part of the Hoover family’s lifestyle. In 1952, Ivan and Lydia Hoover moved their family to Myerstown from New Holland. They farmed the land where Country Fare now sits, selling potatoes and eggs to their neighbors.
Ivan’s son, Leon, who founded FarmerBoy Ag, opted for a different kind of food service when he sold FarmerBoy Ag in 1993 and bought an old ‘50s diner instead. Two years later, Country Fare opened its doors.
Today, 27 years later, Leon’s son, Eric, owns and operates the restaurant. Country Fare continues to delight locals and visitors with warm service, affordable prices, and generous, tasty servings.
The perfect gift. Guaranteed to be a win!
